One of the hottest subjects currently trending in the title industry is eClosing, which makes The Future of eClosings, an upcoming webinar presented by the Michigan Land Title Association (MLTA), a highly relevant topic. The webinar is free and registration is open to the public.
The event is a Q&A style discussion featuring four panelists and an MLTA moderator. Among the industry experts participating on the panel is Title Source Chief Operating Officer, Brian Hughes, who recently submitted a position paper on the subject to the NASS Remote Notarization Task Force.
“There’s a lot of buzz about eClosing right now,” says Title Source Talent Strategist, Emily Schonberg, who is a member of the MLTA’s Young Title Professional Technology Sub Committee. “This webinar is a must for anybody looking to stay up-to-date on the granular details within the trend.”
The webinar will educate listeners on common terms and definitions, discuss how eClosing is expected to change the process, and will touch on a range of issues and concerns such as the misconceptions about eClosing replacing the need for signing agents.
Other industry experts participating on the panel are Simon Moir of eOriginal, Rick Triola of NotaryCam and Mark Ladd of Simplifile.
“It’s really important to be able to speak in an informed manner on the subject,” says Schonberg. “This webinar provides a great opportunity for people to really get an understanding of the topic.”
The Future of eClosings takes place Wednesday, May 10, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. EDT. To register, go to register.gotowebinar.com/rt/197011975198820866, or for more information, contact Iain Bryant at email@example.com.
